How do I book?

• When you have decided you are ready to book, please fill out the Contact Me page. Then I will check my schedule and see if the date you choose is available. After that is completed I will send you an invoice with my different payment methods (there is a 50% retainer fee), a contract and a print release (this form allows me to use some of the images for display, publication or other purposes) for you to fill out. Please read over them carefully! Nothing is confirmed until the deposit and paperwork have been completed. The remaining balance is due the day before your session. 

• I am also available for a Zoom session, if you would like to meet for about 30 minutes to go over anything about your session and questions you may have.

What kinds of payments do you accept?

• I accept Cash, Credit card, Bank transfer, Check, Cash app, PayPal or Venmo.

• You will receive an invoice with the total amount you have paid and what is due the day before your session date.

I'm not photogenic, can you help me?

• Of course I will help, so you don't have to worry. I will be ready with poses and prompts to capture all the moments in the session.

• I will also have music of choice to make you feel more comfortable and at ease while we shoot if you would like.

What should I expect during my session?​

• We will meet at the selected location at the scheduled time, go over any special photo requests or needs you may have, and then get shooting! I’m happy to incorporate any fun posing ideas you have, or any props you’d like to include.

• If you have young children, feel free to bring anything that will keep them happy (e.g. snacks, juice, favorite toy, etc.).

• Please remember the weather as well. If it is hot, you may want to bring a water bottle; cold, maybe a jacket between shots.

• If you are planning a clothing change, remember that it may need to be done in the car as many locations are remote.

• At the end of the session, I’ll answer any last minute questions and then we’re all finished!

What if I am running late?

• If you are going to be running late please call or email me asap. If you are more than 30 minutes late without calling, you will forfeit your booking fee and I will have the right to cancel your session. 

• If I am late, I will communicate that with you and your session time will not be affected.

What is your Cancellation/Rescheduling Policy? If I need to cancel my session is the retainer fee refundable?

• If you need to reschedule or cancel, you must call or email 48 hours in advance of your session date. If I am not contacted within the time frame a fee of $25 will be charged to your session.

• If need to reschedule, the retainer fee and the signed contract can carry over to the new date you choose. 

• If I cannot perform this contract due to illness or an emergency, then I will return the deposit you have given.

What happens after my session?

• As soon as your session is over, I transfer your photos to my backup hard drive and will begin editing. It takes about 3 weeks to edit and prepare your gallery. I will send you 3 previews 1-3 days after your session to hold you over while I get your entire gallery done. You will be given a link to an online gallery with a passcode to download all your photos.

• This is not mandatory but reviews are very helpful. Please leave a review on my Facebook page. Also, please tag me (@shayevansphotography) in your photos when posting on Instagram or Facebook.

Can I get a Photo book of my session?​

• Photo books can be ordered for $60 ($80 for Wedding) with your Event Sessions upon request and will be included into the session price. These albums include between 30-40 photos; upgraded sizes include up to 40-50 photos.They will be mailed to your residence (tracking numbers will be provided to help ensure the album is safely delivered). Photo Books can have a Soft cover, Hardcover, Leather, Matte or Linen cover. It also comes in different sizes: 8x8, 8x11, 10x10, 11x8.5, 8x11 and 12x12

• Guest Books are also available to purchase for your Wedding. They include 20-30 photos with blank sections to allow space for guest to sign.
